DEBBIE-ANN FARRIER-DURAND joined Mair & Company in 2008 and brings to the Firm experience in banking, corporate and commercial law. She also has a strong background in receivership and bankruptcy law and experience in drafting security documentation.
A national of Trinidad and Tobago, Debbie-Ann worked during the years 1993-1999 in a prominent law firm in Jamaica before joining the Financial Services Adjustment Company in Jamaica (FINSAC Ltd.). FINSAC was mandated with the power of intervention and rehabilitation of the financial sector during the economic crisis in Jamaica in the mid-1990s. Debbie-Ann served as Senior Legal Counsel charged with a regulatory portfolio and acted as Corporate Secretary to several of the intervened companies. During this period Debbie-Ann was appointed Project Manager for the implementation of a new regulatory framework for insurance companies in Jamaica, funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
A graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of the West Indies, Debbie-Ann has the Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) (1989) and Master of Laws (1996) Degrees. In 1992 she was admitted to practice law in Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Jamaica and she is a member of the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago and the Bar Association of Jamaica.
Debbie-Ann lived in France for many years and speaks French.

CINTRA SOOKNANAN carries on a general practice with a focus on intellectual property, telecommunications law and commercial law. She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (2006) from the University of London and a Post-Graduate Diploma in the Legal Practice Course (2007) for solicitors with commendation from Staffordshire University Law School. Ms. Sooknanan is currently pursuing her Masters in Law in Legal Practice Management from Staffordshire University and also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computing and Information Systems (2004) from the University of London.
She is a member of the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago and was admitted to practise in Trinidad and Tobago in 2008. She is also member of the Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society.

NATASHA BISRAM holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts in History (Upper Second Class Honours) from the University of the West Indies. She completed her L.E.C. with the Hugh Wooding Law School and was admitted to practise in Trinidad and Tobago in October, 2008. Her areas of practice include civil litigation. commercial law, probate and conveyancing.
